Privacy policy

Last updated 12 October 2026

Omimi is a space for some of the most personal parts of your life: how you feel, how you sleep, what you write. We take that seriously. This policy explains, in plain words, what Omimi keeps, where, and why.

The short version

Who we are

Omimi is made by Natalia Wawrzyniak, based in Poland, who is responsible for your information under EU data protection law (the GDPR). If you have any question about your privacy, write to hello@omimi.app.

What Omimi keeps, and where

Right now, Omimi has no accounts and no login. Everything below is saved only on your phone, in the app's own private storage:

How Omimi uses it

Only to make the app work for you: to greet you by name, suggest something that fits your day, ask check-in questions that go a little deeper over time, and show you your own patterns in Me. All of this is worked out on your phone. For people without a membership, your journal is read only on your phone. For members who allow Omimi's AI, it also reads it (see below).

Omimi describes patterns; it never gives a diagnosis or medical advice, and it isn't a replacement for a doctor, therapist or emergency help.

Talk with Omimi, your daily reflection, journal themes, the weekly note and the monthly letter are written by AI. AI can sometimes get things wrong, so please treat them as gentle companionship, not professional advice. In a crisis, SOS connects you with real people.

What leaves your phone

Almost everything stays on your phone. A few things in the app use the internet, only when you choose them:

Your choices

Keeping it safe

Your data stays in Omimi's private storage on your phone, protected by your phone's own security, like your passcode, Face ID or fingerprint. Keeping your phone locked keeps your Omimi private too.

Children

Omimi is meant for people aged 16 and over, and asks you to confirm this when you start. It isn't designed for children. If you think someone younger has used Omimi, deleting the app removes everything they entered.

Your rights

You have the right to see, correct, delete or take a copy of your personal information, and to object to how it's used. Since almost everything is on your phone, you already hold it, and Settings → Delete account and data deletes it all, on your phone and on our server. If you have a question or request, write to hello@omimi.app.

If you live in the EU, you can also complain to a data protection authority: in Poland, that's the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO, uodo.gov.pl). People in other places, such as some US states, may have similar rights, and we respect them too.

When things change

We plan to add optional accounts later, so you can back up your data and use Omimi on more than one phone, along with a paid membership. Before anything you've written ever leaves your phone, we'll update this policy and ask for your clear permission first. If we make any important change, we'll tell you in the app.
